Winter Cross Update 11-23-14

Winter Cross 10-28-14Well, it’s been another month of stitching and I feel like I’m not making any headway. This is how it looked at the end of October. I was starting to stitch the bottom part of the cross and that poinsettia was taking forever to finish!

Before I show you what it looks like now, I want you to see why I always feel like my progress is so slow.

Winter Cross patternThis is my pattern that I’ve been using. I use a highlighter to color in the stitches that I’ve done so that I know where I’m at. It doesn’t feel like there’s a lot of yellow on that paper.

Winter Cross in Frame 11-23-14This is how the actual stitching correlates with the pattern. As I’m stitching I feel like I’m putting a lot of stitches in, but there’s still a LOT of white space! Ugh. I keep looking at that pattern, knowing that when I’m done with stitching the cross I will have to start on the words and all of those French knots that go between the words.

Winter Cross 11-23-14Once I actually removed my piece from my stitching frame, though, I was surprised by how much progress I’ve actually made. Perhaps I will finish this at some point…
